Places of Worship & Bereavement
Cloisters Restaurant, Chichester Cathedral
The extension and complete refurbishment of the Cathedral’s former Bell Rooms Restaurant and adjacent shop in the cathedral cloisters. Opened by Princess Alexandra in 2006, this award-winning restaurant was designed by Meynell Hoolahan Architects. Pope Consulting was appointed to design M & E services
St Mary and St Gabriel Church, South Harting
Sensitive design of services for a new church hall built adjacent to the medieval church on a challenging site.
Sandwell Valley Crematorium, West Bromwich
Modelling and design of M&E services for this new building. Working with Martin Critchell Architects, the Chapel is naturally ventilated by a combination of mid-level and high level opening louvres in the cupola and the complex is heated by waste heat recovery from the mercury abatement process.
Lighting is provided by low energy LED luminaires and all lighting was modelled on Relux software.
New Chapel, Worthing Crematorium
Chapel was modelled using IES software and is naturally ventilated. Deep borehole ground source heat pumps heat the underfloor pipework and the system is reversed in the summer to provide underfloor cooling.
Chapel at Graylingwell Park
Pope Consulting has designed a new heating installation for this Victorian Chapel on the Graylingwell Park estate. Commissioned by Linden Homes, the heating runs from the Park's Low Zero Carbon district heating scheme. The Chapel is used by Chichester's Immanuel Church.
