Building Simulation

To provide effective solutions for modern buildings, Pope Consulting Ltd can undertake computer building simulation using the IES Virtual Environment software package.

A 3D virtual model is created within the software to accurately represent building weight, insulation, fabric and ventilation openings. Historical weather data can then be applied to the model to show how it will perform in practice. This allows early decision making on the suitability of the design and early assessment of alternatives.

The software also verifies Building Regulations Part L compliance, and can calculate heat losses, heat gains, natural ventilation, natural lighting, and much more.
