Oak Grove College, Durrington
Oak Grove is a £12m. 220 pupil secondary school serving pupils with special educational need. The school is built around a secure central court with two 2-storey teaching wings, a single storey science/technology wing and the Administration, Hall & Dining wing. The school also has an indoor warm water pool. The campus accomodates the Rose Wilmont Youth Centre.
Pope Consulting Ltd was commissioned by West Sussex County Council to draft the Employers Requirements for the mechanical and electrical services, the pool water treatment systems and the lifts. We were also required to check all design proposals from the contractor, to assist with the value engineering and to undertake initial consultations with the statutory supply authorities.
The project was completed in September 2005.
